PR Manager - #2154843

A growing Manchester fintech is looking for a PR Manager to build its profile as it enters its next stage of growth.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can turn financial topics into stories people want to read, build strong media relationships and help more consumers understand what the business offers. You’ll have room to shape the PR approach, work closely with senior leaders and see the impact of your work as the company grows.

• Develop and deliver a PR plan that supports the company’s growth ambitions.
• Find compelling stories in the business and pitch them to consumer, financial and national media.
• Build relationships with journalists, editors and other relevant contacts.
• Write press releases, comments, briefings and thought leadership content.
• Prepare senior leaders for interviews and media opportunities.
• Work with marketing and other teams to keep external messaging clear and consistent.
• Track coverage and show how PR is contributing to awareness and reputation.

You’ll have strong consumer PR experience, ideally gained in fintech, financial services or another consumer-facing sector. You’ll know how to secure meaningful coverage, handle complex subjects clearly and build trust with stakeholders at all levels.

Experience communicating financial products or money-related topics would be especially valuable. You’ll be comfortable both setting the direction and getting stuck into the writing, pitching and relationship building yourself.
