Infrastructure Analyst - #2154650

Are you an experienced Infrastructure Analyst looking for a varied role where you can work with modern technology, contribute to major transformation projects and take ownership of emerging technical workstreams? Opportunities exist in Liverpool or Manchester with hybrid working.

We are a well-established, international professional services organisation that is investing significantly in its technology estate. You will join a friendly and collaborative infrastructure team supporting UK and international operations, with the opportunity to work across both business-as-usual services and strategic projects.
The organisation is modernising its infrastructure through technologies including software-defined networking and datacentre solutions, alongside the continued migration of core applications to SaaS and IaaS platforms. No two days will be the same, and you will have the scope to broaden your technical knowledge while developing ownership of new technologies and projects.

Working closely with Infrastructure, Service Desk, Architecture and Project Management colleagues, you will:

• Maintain and develop the organisation's infrastructure and core IT systems.
• Support the delivery of technical projects from initial evaluation through implementation and transition into BAU support.
• Provide technical guidance to project managers and other stakeholders.
• Act as an escalation point for Infrastructure Analysts, helping to resolve complex technical issues.
• Support infrastructure change, service improvement and technology-roadmap initiatives.
• Produce and maintain system design, configuration, testing and recovery documentation.
• Improve knowledge sharing across Infrastructure and Service Desk teams.
• Contribute to disaster recovery, business continuity and high availability planning.
• Work collaboratively across IT to support the wider technology strategy.

If you possess a combination of the following skills, then LETS TALK! You will need strong hands-on experience across a Microsoft-focused infrastructure environment, including:

• VMware administration, management and maintenance
• Microsoft Azure, including Entra ID and application configuration
• Windows Server 2016, 2019 and 2022
• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Sites and Services, and replication
• Networking, routing and technical troubleshooting
• Windows file services and DFSR
• Disaster recovery, high availability, RPO and RTO principles
• Enterprise application infrastructure and server back-end configuration
• Monitoring technologies such as SolarWinds, SNMP and MIBs
• Change and problem management
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and workload management skills

Experience in some of the following would be advantageous but not essential.

• Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams and Intune
• Azure virtual machines and Azure networking
• Single sign-on, SAML and multi-factor authentication
• Hyper-V, Remote Desktop Services and Mimecast
• Zscaler, FortiGate or Aruba
• PowerShell, infrastructure automation, AI or Power Platform
• Cybersecurity or information-security technologies
• Telephony, SIP trunking and call routing
• ITIL Foundation or Microsoft Azure certifications
• Professional services or similarly demanding corporate environments
