Role purpose

We're looking for an Accounts Payable Associate to join our Finance team in Manchester on a 6 month FTC. If you're organised, detail-focused and enjoy building strong working relationships, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career within a supportive and collaborative environment.

You'll play a key role in ensuring supplier accounts are managed effectively, helping to maintain excellent service levels for both internal and external stakeholders while supporting the smooth running of our Accounts Payable function.

What you'll be doing

As an Accounts Payable Associate, you'll be responsible for:

• Managing supplier account queries and ensuring timely resolution
• Monitoring and maintaining supplier ledgers accurately
• Supporting invoice processing activities to help prevent overdue payments
• Building positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Acting as an escalation point for supplier account issues where required
• Reconciling supplier payments and supporting transactional account activity
• Opening and distributing internal and external post
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working
• Supporting the wider Accounts Payable team to achieve shared objectives

What we need from you

• Experience working with supplier accounts within an Accounts Payable environment
• Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
• The ability to remain calm and focused when working to deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• SAP Accounts Payable knowledge
• Good Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and Lookups
• A proactive approach and a desire to continuously improve processes

It would be great if you also have:

• SAP MM and FI knowledge
• Process Director experience
