An established UK law firm is expanding its specialist Financial Mis-Selling team and is looking to appoint an experienced and motivated Paralegal to join the growing practice.
This is a great opportunity for a Paralegal looking to develop their career within a specialist claims environment, gaining valuable experience across financial mis-selling and consumer disputes while working alongside experienced solicitors and senior fee earners.
You will play a key role in supporting the progression of claims from initial instruction through to resolution, taking responsibility for your own matters where appropriate and providing high-quality support across the wider team.

As a Financial Mis-Selling Paralegal, you will assist with a varied caseload of financial claims and consumer disputes, working closely with solicitors and senior fee earners to ensure matters are progressed efficiently and clients receive a high standard of service.
Key responsibilities will include:

• 
  Managing and progressing a caseload of financial mis-selling and consumer claims under appropriate supervision
• 
  Reviewing client instructions, financial records and supporting evidence
• 
  Assessing claims and identifying issues that require further investigation
• 
  Carrying out legal, factual and evidential research
• 
  Preparing correspondence, statements, schedules and other relevant documentation
• 
  Reviewing, organising and maintaining documentary evidence and case files
• 
  Liaising with clients, financial institutions, solicitors, opposing parties and other third parties
• 
  Requesting additional information and documentation where required
• 
  Assisting with the preparation and progression of claims, applications and procedural documents
• 
  Monitoring limitation dates, deadlines and key case milestones
• 
  Maintaining accurate case management records and ensuring matters are progressed in a timely manner
• 
  Supporting solicitors with hearings, applications and other litigation-related activity
• 
  Keeping clients informed and providing clear and professional updates throughout their claims
• 
  Working in line with internal processes, regulatory requirements and relevant legal and procedural obligations

We are looking for an organised, proactive and ambitious Paralegal who is keen to develop their experience within financial mis-selling, consumer claims or civil litigation.
Ideally, you will have:

• 
  Previous experience as a Paralegal within a law firm or legal services environment
• 
  Experience of financial mis-selling, consumer claims, litigation, dispute resolution or a related area of law
• 
  Strong legal research and analytical skills
• 
  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 
  A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• 
  Strong organisational and time-management skills
• 
  The ability to manage a caseload and work effectively against competing deadlines
• 
  Confidence when dealing with clients and external parties
• 
  A practical and commercially minded approach to problem-solving
• 
  The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a wider team
• 
  A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within financial claims and litigation

Experience of financial mis-selling, consumer credit, investment claims, banking disputes, PPI, motor finance, commission-related claims, unfair relationships or other consumer financial disputes would be particularly beneficial.
