FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established fire and security business with the recruitment of a Service & Maintenance Engineer.

Permanent, full-time position covering Manchester, with travel to client sites as required.

Salary

Negotiable, depending on experience + overtime + additional benefits + company vehicle and fuel card

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing and reactive repairs across fire and security systems
• Work on Fire Detection, CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm systems
• Diagnose system faults and carry out efficient repairs
• Test and inspect systems to ensure compliance with relevant standards
• Complete minor system modifications and remedial works where required
• Liaise with clients and provide technical advice
• Complete service reports, maintenance records and certification accurately
• Work closely with service coordinators and internal teams to manage workloads
• Participate in an on-call rota where required

Skills & Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience servicing and maintaining fire and security systems
• Experience with Fire Detection, CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarms
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Good knowledge of relevant British Standards
• Understanding of networking and IP-based systems
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to pass security vetting
• Experience with systems such as Advanced, Hikvision, Paxton, Texecom, Galaxy or Orisec would be advantageous
• FIA, IPAF or PASMA qualifications would be beneficial
