Senior/Principal Acoustic Consultant

Fully Remote Role

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

My client, a well-established building consultancy specialising in the built environment, is seeking an experienced Senior Acoustic Consultant or Principal Acoustic Consultant to join their growing London team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a technically focused consultancy that delivers it's specialist acoustic solutions across a diverse range of projects.

Working closely alongside architects, engineers, developers and clients, you will provide expert acoustic advice that meet regulatory standards and specific project requirements.

As a Senior / Principal Acoustic Consultant Duties include:

• Providing high-quality advice directly to the clients
• Taking ownership of projects from the initial assessment to the point of completion

• Undertaking detailed and complex calculations and acoustic modelling
• Producing technical reports and peer-reviewing reports
• Attending sites to complete environmental noise measurements and sound insulation testing

Essential:

• Degree or Masters in Acoustics, or a STEM degree with a PGDip in Acoustics
• Membership of the Institute of Acoustics

• Experience of assessments for BREEAM Hea 05 and Pol 05
• Full UK driving licence

• Experience of planning and carrying out noise surveys

It is also beneficial but not essential for applicants to have experience of sound insulation testing and on-site acoustic testing. Experience in BS 5228 Construction Noise Assessments is (ideal). The ability to work as part of a team and complete work in a timely manner is important.
