Design Manager - #2151197

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Design Manager to take a leading role across a major UK programme of infrastructure and non-infrastructure water projects.

You'll coordinate multidisciplinary design across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and process engineering, helping bring together the technical requirements of complex water and wastewater treatment schemes.

The position can be based in Manchester, London, Bristol, Exeter, Derby, Peterborough, Glasgow or Northern Ireland.

The Role

You'll be involved in:

• Managing multidisciplinary design across water and wastewater projects
• Coordinating civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and process disciplines
• Managing design programmes, deliverables and technical requirements
• Monitoring design progress and identifying risks or coordination issues
• Leading multidisciplinary design reviews
• Supporting the resolution of complex technical challenges
• Coordinating engineering, project and delivery teams
• Liaising with clients and wider project stakeholders
• Driving effective design delivery throughout the project lifecycle

What They're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Design Manager, Design Lead or similar
• Strong engineering or technical design background
• Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Good understanding of design and project delivery processes
• Ability to coordinate multiple technical disciplines and packages
• Strong design programme and deliverable management skills
• Confident stakeholder and client communication
• Strong leadership, organisation and technical coordination capabilities

Experience across water, wastewater or treatment projects would be particularly beneficial.
