Mechanical Design Engineer - #2151194

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a UK-wide engineering team delivering a significant programme of infrastructure and non-infrastructure water projects.

Working across water and wastewater treatment, you'll contribute to multidisciplinary design alongside process, electrical, civil and structural engineering teams.

The position can be based in Manchester, London, Bristol, Exeter, Derby, Peterborough, Glasgow or Northern Ireland, providing flexibility around where you build your career.

The Role

You'll be involved in:

• Delivering mechanical design across water and wastewater projects
• Developing mechanical engineering solutions through the design lifecycle
• Producing and reviewing technical design information
• Coordinating mechanical requirements with process, electrical and civil disciplines
• Supporting multidisciplinary design reviews
• Resolving technical and coordination challenges
• Working alongside wider project and delivery teams
• Supporting designs through development and technical delivery

What They're Looking For

• Strong Mechanical Design Engineering experience
• Relevant mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent experience
• Good understanding of mechanical design principles
• Experience within multidisciplinary engineering environments
• Ability to produce and review technical engineering information
• Strong technical problem-solving and coordination skills
• Good communication and stakeholder management capabilities

Experience within water, wastewater, treatment works, process engineering or similar complex environments would be highly beneficial.
