Electrical Officer - #2149969

Local authority in Greater Manchester are looking for an electrical officer to join their capital works team for an initial period of 6 months.

Purpose of the role:

take responsibility for electrical design, planning, management and delivery of projects and programmes. The work of the Division is diverse and typically includes the maintenance and refurbishment work of: school programmes, listed buildings, art galleries, city centre public realm monuments, national sporting/leisure facilities, infrastructure & fabrication improvements to Manchester’s parks, solar PV installations, decarbonisation schemes.

The applicant should demonstrate experience of working on a range of projects involving electrical design and have a wide range of construction knowledge. This is to be underpinned with a successful track record in the delivery with major refurbishment, new build schemes and inspecting and reporting of defects.

NBS specification software or other similar packages, calculations and feasibility studies on all types of buildings. Additionally, you will also possess a good working knowledge of building and planning legislation, Health & Safety legislation, CDM Regulations, CAD software systems and relevant commercial and contractual experience.

35 hours per week

Hybrid working 3 and 2

Initially until end of March

£40 an hour umbrella
