Children’s Residential Team Leader – Manchester

Salary: £32,000+ per year

Are you an experienced Children’s Residential Support Worker ready to take the next step in your career?

We’re working with a fantastic children’s residential provider in Manchester who are looking for a confident and experienced Team Leader to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who already understands residential childcare and is ready to take on more responsibility, support a team and play a key role in providing the best possible care for children and young people.

What you’ll be doing

As a Team Leader, you’ll work alongside the Registered Manager and wider team to make sure the home runs safely and effectively.

Your role will include:

• Supporting and leading a team of residential support workers

• Providing guidance, supervision and day-to-day support to staff

• Helping to maintain a safe, stable and nurturing environment

• Supporting children and young people with their individual needs

• Taking responsibility for shifts and ensuring care plans and routines are followed

• Working alongside professionals, families and other members of the care team

• Supporting with records, reports and safeguarding procedures

• Leading by example and helping less experienced staff develop

What we’re looking for

You’ll need:

• NVQ Level 4 in Children, Young People & Families or an equivalent relevant qualification

• Previous experience working within a children’s residential setting

• Experience of supporting or leading other staff

• A full UK driving licence

• The ability to work a varied rota, including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins where required

• A genuine commitment to improving the lives of children and young people
