Senior Test Engineer - #2149438

We're looking for a Senior Test Engineer for a central government department, based across multiple UK sites including Birmingham, Sheffield, Newcastle, Manchester, Blackpool and Leeds (hybrid) on an initial 6-month contract, paying up to £600 per day (Inside IR35).

This is a hybrid role with an expectation to spend around 3 days a week on site.

The successful Senior Test Engineer will define the overall testing strategy and provide technical leadership across multiple test engineering teams. You'll own delivery of testing activities against quality, time and cost objectives, act as the escalation point for defects and blockers, and shape test infrastructure and tooling decisions. You'll also drive standardisation and best practice by sharing reusable libraries, lessons learned and reporting approaches with stakeholders.

You will need proven experience working with the following:

Informatica PowerCenter
Oracle
Defining test strategy and leading test engineering teams
Planning and coordinating functional and non-functional testing
Managing and prioritising defects with the business
Communicating test results to technical and non-technical stakeholders

The following would be beneficial:

AWS
Automation testing
SQL and working with large data sets

You'll need to hold or be eligible to obtain SC clearance for this role.
