The Manchester College is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Maths Lecturer to join the team on a part-time temporary basis (17.5 hours per week).

This role will primarily involve the delivery of GCSE Maths, with the potential for a small amount of Functional Skills Maths teaching. The successful candidate will support learners to achieve outstanding outcomes through engaging, high-quality teaching and learning.

• Monday: Full Day
• Wednesday: Half Day
• Thursday: Full Day
• Total Hours: 17.5 hours per week
• Teaching Hours: 12 hours per week

• Relevant degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
• Recognised UK teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Diploma in Education & Training, or equivalent).
• Previous UK teaching experience delivering Maths.
• Experience teaching GCSE Maths.
• Strong classroom management and learner engagement skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential).

• Deliver high-quality GCSE Maths lessons, with some potential Functional Skills Maths delivery.
• Plan, prepare and assess learning in line with curriculum requirements.
• Monitor learner progress and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain accurate learner records and attendance data.
• Support students to achieve and exceed their target grades.
• Contribute to departmental meetings, quality processes and curriculum development.

• Working Days: Monday (full day), Wednesday (half day), Thursday (full day)
• Contract: Temporary, Ongoing
• Expected Duration: Minimum until the Christmas half-term break

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Maths Lecturer with UK teaching experience who is looking for a flexible part-time position within a leading Further Education college. Applicants must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service and have experience teaching GCSE Maths in the UK.
