GP – Prison Healthcare (Manchester)

We’re currently seeking a prison-cleared GP to support the healthcare team within a prison setting in Greater Manchester. This role offers the chance to make a real difference by delivering essential primary care services to individuals with diverse and often complex health needs.

The role

• Deliver GP-led clinics to residents across the prison

• Diagnose, treat and manage a broad range of health conditions

• Support the management of long-term illnesses and urgent presentations

• Work alongside nurses, mental health practitioners and wider healthcare teams

• Ensure safe and effective prescribing and clinical decision-making

What we’re looking for

• Full GMC registration and licence to practise

• Current prison clearance (CTC or equivalent)

• Background in primary care, urgent care or prison healthcare

• Strong communication skills and a resilient, flexible approach

Contract details

• Location: Prison in Greater Manchester

• Hours: Full time or part time considered

• £100.00 per hour

• Flexible contract length with immediate start available
