Senior Renewals Underwriter - #2148478

We are delighted to be working with a global household name Insurer who are looking to build on their success by growing and developing the Underwriting Team in Bristol.

The Commercial Underwriting team works closely with brokers and colleagues across the business to deliver profitable growth, excellent service and strong underwriting outcomes. They combine technical expertise with a collaborative approach to support brokers, customers and the wider business.

As a Senior Underwriter:

• You'll underwrite Commercial Combined risks, primarily renewals and mid-term adjustments, alongside selected new business opportunities.
• You'll develop and manage broker relationships across the South Region.
• You'll negotiate and trade effectively to support profitable growth.
• You'll take ownership of larger and more complex underwriting cases
• You'll act as a technical referral point and support the development of colleagues.

The successful Senior Underwriting candidate will have:

• Experience underwriting and trading Commercial Combined business.
• Strong broker relationships and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of the regional broker market and commercial insurance sector.
• Sound underwriting judgement and technical expertise.
• A proactive and commercially focused mindset.
• Dip CII, or progress towards, would be advantageous.

As a Senior Underwriter you will get:

• Annual Salary circa £65,000
