Senior People Advisor - Employee Relations - #2147467

The Senior People Advisor will manage complex Employee Relations casework, providing expert advice and coaching to managers on a wide range of people matters. The role will also support organisational change, restructures and trade union consultation, ensuring advice is practical, legally compliant and commercially focused.

Description

• Manage a varied and complex Employee Relations caseload from initial advice through to resolution.
• Provide expert guidance on disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence, conduct and performance matters.
• Advise and coach managers through complex ER processes and difficult employee conversations.
• Support investigations, formal hearings and appeals, ensuring processes are fair and legally compliant.
• Provide HR support across restructures, reorganisations and wider organisational change programmes.
• Support consultation processes and work effectively with Trade Unions and key stakeholders.
• Interpret HR policies and employment legislation to provide practical, risk-based advice.
• Identify ER trends and contribute to improvements across policies, processes and ways of working.

Profile

A successful Senior People Advisor should have:

• Significant experience managing complex Employee Relations cases independently.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience advising and coaching managers on challenging people matters.
• Previous experience working within a unionised environment.
• Experience supporting restructures, organisational change and consultation processes.
• Confidence engaging with Trade Unions and senior stakeholders.
• Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.

Job Offer

• Salary equivalent to £43,000 - £45,000
• Temporary contract for 3 months.
• Location: Manchester.
