You will work closely with managers and operational teams to maintain high standards, ensure legal compliance and continue to develop a positive health and safety culture across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain H&S policies, procedures and safe systems of work.
  • Carry out risk assessments, site inspections and audits.
  • Support compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 and the Building Safety Act 2022.
  • Prepare CDM documentation, RAMS, COSHH assessments and construction phase plans.

  • Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses and ensure actions are followed through.
  • Support RIDDOR reporting and maintain accurate H&S records.
  • Support company accreditations including CHAS, Constructionline Gold and ISO 9001.
  • Provide practical advice and guidance to managers and employees.
  • Prepare monthly H&S reports and drive continuous improvement across the business.

About You

You will have strong practical experience within the construction industry and be confident working independently across multiple sites.

NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent is essential, with NEBOSH Construction desirable. You should also have a good working knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, CDM, risk assessments, audits and incident investigations.

Tech IOSH/MIIRSM or higher, SMSTS and a white or black CSCS card are also required/desirable in line with the role profile. You will need a full UK driving licence and be comfortable travelling regularly.

What We’re Looking For

A confident and approachable H&S professional who can build strong relationships, provide practical solutions and constructively challenge where needed. You’ll be organised, proactive and comfortable managing priorities across a busy, multi-site operation.
