Role: Finishing Foreman

Project: University Refurbishment

Location: Manchester

Rate: £23 per hour

Start: Monday 21st September

Length: 8 Weeks

Experience:

• Extensive experience as a Finishing Foreman on refurbishment projects
• Previous experience working on university or educational projects preferred
• Proven track record as a Finishing Foreman
• Must have been previously placed by Caval with excellent references
• Strong knowledge of finishing trades and refurbishment works
• Confident managing subcontractors and site labour
• Good health and safety knowledge
• Strong eye for detail and quality of finish
• Able to manage snagging and ensure works are completed to a high standard
• Willing to work weekends if required

Certs:

• CSCS card
• Relevant site qualifications
• SMSTS / SSSTS desirable

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate finishing trades on site
• Oversee day-to-day finishing works across the university refurbishment
• Manage subcontractors and direct site labour
• Ensure works are completed to a high standard and in line with the programme
• Coordinate with the Site Manager and other trades
• Monitor progress and report any issues or delays
• Carry out quality checks and manage snagging works
• Ensure all finishing works meet the required specification
• Maintain good health and safety standards throughout the project
• Keep the site clean, tidy and organised
• Liaise with other site teams to ensure smooth handovers
• Assist with the day-to-day running of the site as required
