  • Instruct and control other technical specialists as required
  • Communicate regularly with all interested parties, including calculating and approving interim payments
  • Calculate and agree claim settlements, preparing specialist and final reports
  • Maintain accurate files and records, keeping up to date with relevant technical and legal developments
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, escalating any concerns appropriately
  • Recommend and review repair and mitigation solutions, including underpinning, drainage works and vegetation management
  • Provide expert technical input on causation, including support for litigation, complaints, recoveries or repudiation decisions
  • Support wider business transition projects as required

Requirements

  • Professionally qualified Civil or Structural Engineer, chartered or working towards chartership
  • Relevant technical experience in civil/structural engineering, claims investigation or a related environment
  • Strong technical and analytical capability with sound decision-making skills
  • Clear, confident communicator with a customer-focused, service-oriented approach
  • Well organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage a busy, target-based workload
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider team
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the UK
  • ACII and/or ACILA qualifications advantageous

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, specialist loss adjusting business with a strong reputation in the market, offering remote working and genuine scope to develop your career.
