Aspire People are seeking staff with Team Teach qualification to work at a Primary setting for SEND children of all primary ages.
The role is working with children aged 4 - 11 who present with challenging behaviour as a result of additional needs such as ASC and SEMH. The role is working within small classes of 7 pupils with a SEND teacher and 3 other SEND learning support staff.
The role will require you to move from 1:1 to small groups as the day progresses with the needs of the children. The role is temporary to start with but may become permanent for the right candidate. The working hours are Monday - Friday 08:30-15:00pm, term time only, with occasional twilight training sessions.
The setting is a pprimary based in South Manchester, for pupils in Key Stages 1 and 2 offering specialist places for children with an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP) identifying Social Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMH). Recently rated 'good' by Ofsted, the PRU is praised by parents for their dedication to each child's needs and their social and emotional well-being.
The ideal candidate must have Team Teach training or an equivalent restraint training qualification, which can be evidenced. Experience working with challenging behaviour is essential however, we do accept experience from mainstream/specialist settings, prisons, outreach programmes and youth work. You must also have a child and adult DBS registered on the update service as well as an overseas police check if you have been out of the UK for more than 6 months within the last 5 years.
Do contact for further information.
