You will support the Sales Engineering (SE) roles in our Inside Sales team based in Manchester. You will develop and learn skills to help them pursue opportunities, achieve technical recommendation to help achieve sales quotas. They will work alongside the Inside SE, Channel Account Managers and Mid Market Sales teams to help input technical expertise to support opportunities, account relationship engagements or partner activities / enablement.

You will benefit from Sophos sales enablement training, the apprenticeship training and support from your manager and the wider Sophos Sales team, to allow you to learn essential skills and behaviours and knowledge you need to succeed in a Sales Engineering career.

What will you do?

• Help support Mid-Market accounts sales pipeline, providing technical guidance and striving to achieve technical recommendation of the Sophos solutions.

• Support the sales and channel team to achieve its quarterly sales goals.

• Work with the assigned SE, Territory Account Executive (CAE) and Channel Account Managers (CAM) to assist into the sales process through closure of the sale, driving high renewal rate and cross-sell opportunities in territory.

• Act as a trusted technology advisor to key Sophos partners and customers.

• Engage with customers regularly to understand their business pain points, priorities, business drivers, to align Sophos solutions to customer’s desired outcomes.

• Work with Sales and Channel Sales team and partner community to create pipeline through indirect engagements.

• Work with sales engineering and channel partners throughout the sales cycle to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and high adoption of Sophos technology.

Entry requirements:

• An A-Level in ICT

• OR an International Baccalaureate at Level 3 in ICT

• OR a Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject

• OR a BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits)

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
