Senior Civil Engineer - Water - #2142239

Our client, a fully integrated design and build business in the water sector, is currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their team. This opportunity allows you to work on major water and wastewater schemes throughout all phases of the project, from feasibility through to construction.

The client has been named a partner on a new AMP8 framework with a major utility company, responsible for over £3bn of infrastructure in the North West of England. Projects will include upgrades to wastewater treatment works and reducing storm overflows in the largest spill reduction programme in the UK, protecting over 500km of rivers and bathing waters.

• Providing design support and guidance for schemes, ensuring compliance with current legislation and standards
• Collaborating with commercial, operational and construction teams to develop efficient and safe solutions throughout project stages
• Engaging positively with clients, managing relationships, and adopting a team approach
• Managing the integration of civil design with other disciplines and producing necessary documentation
• Acting as a technical checker on project documents and undertaking technical reviews across teams
• Identifying opportunities to improve delivery processes, including sustainable solutions and digital tools
• Undertaking site reviews to ensure the buildability and integration of solutions within existing systems
• Coaching and mentoring engineers to develop their skill sets and ensuring the correct resource for projects

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Chartership (CEng) with a relevant Engineering Institution
• Experience in successfully delivering high-quality outputs in accordance with design, quality, and safety standards
• Effective communication skills with team members and stakeholders
• Methodical approach to problem-solving
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites within the operational region
