What you'll do:

As Financial Reporting Manager based in Manchester, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's finance function. Your day-to-day activities will involve overseeing a range of critical responsibilities from line management of financial administrators to supporting senior finance leaders with delivery of business-wide financial information. • Oversee banking operations including credit card administration, reviewing reconciliations and payment runs, as well as monitoring relevant banking covenants for risk management.
• Continuously assess the effectiveness of financial controls by identifying areas for improvement and implementing enhancements that strengthen resilience.
• Supervise month-end control processes including intercompany transactions, payroll accounting, fixed asset register maintenance, and annual audit preparation.
• Act as the central point of accountability for property finance matters by managing all financial aspects of the organisation's property portfolio with care.
• Take responsibility for submitting data required to support company insurance policies ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement that enhance efficiency, quality, and resilience of financial procedures throughout the business.
• Develop strong relationships with co-owners across departments by offering support on finance queries and facilitating cooperation.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for Financial Reporting Manager brings proven experience as a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA), underpinned by strong technical accounting skills. Your proficiency with Excel enables you to analyse complex data sets efficiently while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
