Interim Head of Rent and Service Charges - #2141362

Are you an experienced rents and service charges specialist within Social Housing? Can you combine strong technical knowledge with confident team leadership? Are you available for your next interim assignment?

We’re supporting a sizeable Housing Association in Greater Manchester to recruit an Interim Head of Rents and Service Charges for an initial 3–6 month contract. The function is in a good position, so they need an experienced pair of hands to maintain momentum and lead the team through the upcoming rent-setting cycle.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the rents and service charges function and its established team
• Overseeing rent setting, service charges and regulatory compliance
• Ensuring the organisation remains ahead of legislative and regulatory change
• Maximising appropriate service charge recovery
• Building strong relationships with operational stakeholders across the organisation

The big sell is that this is not a turnaround assignment. Strong processes are already in place; they need someone who can quickly take ownership, provide technical assurance and keep a good team moving forward.

The role offers significant flexibility, with an expected one day per week in the office in Greater Manchester. To be considered, please meet the following criteria:

• Significant rents and service charges experience within Social Housing
• Strong knowledge of rent setting and service charge regulation
• Previous management experience with the confidence to operate at Head of Service level
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• An accountancy qualification is beneficial but not essential
