We are looking for a dedicated, time-served Quality Inspector / Engineer to join our precision manufacturing environment. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that high-specification metallic components meet rigorous aerospace and defence standards through meticulous inspection and accurate First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) management.
The Role:
- Inspect manufactured items, interpreting complex engineering drawings and specifications to verify full conformity.
- Collate, review, and submit comprehensive Full FAIRs and Delta FAIRs using specialized software.
- Utilize a variety of advanced inspection methods and tools, including hand tools, Keyence systems, and CMM equipment.
- Handle non-conformances and engage with Material Review Board (MRB) processes.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and the 5S workplace organisation standards.
- Communicate professionally with internal teams and external stakeholders via email and verbal channels in a fast-paced environment.
Experince Required
- Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience in a dedicated FAIR compilation role within a metallic manufacturing environment (sheet metal, machining, or turned components).
- Time-served inspector with a proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specs - Ideally
- Strong familiarity with aerospace or defence quality standards, QMS/IMS structures, and manufacturing workflows from raw material to finished product.
- Excellent IT proficiency, including Microsoft applications and specialized FAIR software.
- Exceptional communication skills, a high level of professionalism, and the ability to manage time effectively under pressure while maintaining a commitment to workplace safety and 5S standards.
