Attendance/Admin Officer - #2138562

Hays Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-established primary school in North Manchester to recruit an experienced Attendance Officer / School Administrator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive school environment and play a key role in ensuring high levels of attendance and effective day-to-day administration.

As the school's Attendance Officer / Administrator, you will be responsible for managing attendance procedures, maintaining accurate pupil records and supporting the wider administrative function of the school office.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring and recording pupil attendance and punctuality.
• Identifying attendance concerns and following up with parents/carers.
• Producing attendance reports and supporting attendance improvement initiatives.
• Managing school communications, including telephone and email enquiries.
• Maintaining pupil records and updating school databases.
• Supporting admissions, safeguarding and general office administration.
• Liaising with staff, parents, external agencies and senior leaders.
• Providing reception cover and acting as a first point of contact where required.

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience working within a school administration or attendance role.
• Knowledge of attendance procedures within an education setting.
• Experience using school management systems such as Arbor, SIMS or Bromcom would be advantageous.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a busy school office team.
