Project Manager - Construction & Property Consultancy

Location: Manchester (Hybrid)

Due to continued growth across the North West, we are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join our expanding Construction & Property Consultancy team.

With offices in both Manchester City Centre and Bolton, this role offers the flexibility to work from either location while delivering projects across the region.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager looking to further their career within a well-established consultancy that delivers a diverse portfolio of projects across the built environment. Youll work alongside experienced professionals, managing schemes from initial concept through to completion while building long-term relationships with a varied client base.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for delivering construction projects safely, on programme and within budget while ensuring exceptional service for your clients.

Projects will span a variety of sectors including:

Commercial
Residential
Healthcare
Industrial & Logistics
Retail & Food Retail specifically
Leisure
Public Sector

You will be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, including pre-construction, design development, procurement, construction delivery and project close-out.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the successful delivery of multiple construction projects from inception through to completion.
Develop and manage project programmes, budgets and delivery strategies.
Coordinate design teams, consultants, contractors and key stakeholders.
Chair project meetings and maintain clear project records and documentation.
Monitor project progress, costs, risks and programme performance.
Identify and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies where required.
Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with quality, health & safety and compliance requirements.
Manage procurement activities and support contract administration.
Produce regular client reports covering programme, commercial performance and project status.
Build strong, long-term relationships with clients through proactive communication and excellent service.
Contribute to business development opportunities, bid submissions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support and mentor junior members of the project management team where appropriate.
About You

We are looking for an ambitious Project Manager who enjoys working in a collaborative consultancy environment and is passionate about delivering successful construction projects.

You will ideally have:

A degree in Construction Project Management, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
Several years experience delivering construction projects within a consultancy or client-side environment.
Experience managing projects across one or more sectors such as commercial, residential, healthcare, industrial, retail or public sector.
A good understanding of the full project lifecycle, including design, procurement, contract administration and construction delivery.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong organisational, commercial and problem-solving abilities.
Experience managing project programmes, budgets and risks.
Confidence working with digital project management and reporting systems.
A proactive, collaborative approach and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

Please note: This opportunity is suited to Project Managers with experience in the construction and property sector. Applications from candidates seeking to transition from industries such as IT, finance or marketing will not be suitable.
