Axon Moore are currently recruiting for an exciting Finance Manager opportunity with a highly successful, fast-growing business based just outside Manchester City Centre.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a fully qualified accountant looking to take ownership of a broad and commercially focused finance role within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
Working closely with the senior finance leadership team and key stakeholders across the wider group, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality financial reporting, management information, FP&A and commercial insight to support continued growth.

This is a genuinely varied position, offering exposure across both the technical and commercial sides of finance. You’ll have the opportunity to influence how the business understands and manages its performance, while taking ownership of projects designed to improve processes, controls and operational efficiency.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing accurate and timely management accounts and financial reporting.
- Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts and external audit requirements.
- Maintaining the integrity of accounting records and completing key balance sheet reconciliations.
- Preparing financial analysis, forecasts and budgets to support business growth and investment decisions.
- Producing clear and insightful management information for senior stakeholders.
- Business partnering with senior leadership and operational teams across the business and wider group.
- Identifying opportunities to strengthen financial controls and improve processes.
- Providing commercial insight and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Taking ownership of finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supporting the wider finance team in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
We’re looking for a fully qualified accountant who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with a commercial and analytical mindset.
You’ll ideally be:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with 2-3 years PQE
- Experienced in management accounting, financial reporting and/or FP&A.
- Commercially minded, with the confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
- Highly organised, analytical and attentive to detail.
- Comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong communicator with the ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insight.
- Advanced in Excel and confident working with financial systems and data.
- Proactive, ambitious and keen to make a genuine impact within a growing organisation.
- Power BI
- SQL / SAS
- Data analysis and visualisation
- AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot or Claude
- Process improvement and automation
- £55,000 – £65,000 salary
