This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring technology changes are delivered safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to business operations. You'll work closely with technical teams, project stakeholders, service managers, and third-party suppliers to ensure environments are available, releases are controlled, and deployments are delivered successfully.

  • Coordinate environment availability across Development, Test, UAT, Pre-Production, and Production environments.
  • Lead release planning and deployment readiness activities.
  • Review implementation plans, testing evidence, and release readiness criteria.
  • Chair and contribute to Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings.
  • Identify and mitigate release, deployment, and environment risks.
  • Coordinate go-live activities and ensure smooth operational handover.
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardisation of release and environment management processes.

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in Release Management, Change Management, Environment Management, or Service Transition.
  • Experience coordinating releases across cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Strong understanding of release, change, and service management best practices.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working with technical teams, suppliers, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong planning, governance, and risk management capabilities.
  • Experience supporting CAB processes and major deployment activities.

Desirable

  • ITIL knowledge or certification.
  • Experience within large-scale or complex enterprise environments.
  • Continuous improvement and process optimisation experience.
  • Understanding of incident, problem, and continuity management.

What's on Offer?

  • Hybrid working model with Manchester office presence.
  • Opportunity to influence enterprise-wide technology delivery.
  • Highly collaborative environment.
  • Modern cloud-based technology landscape.
  • Strong focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.

If you're passionate about delivering well-governed, low-risk technology change and enjoy working across both technical and business teams, we'd love to hear from you.
