As an Assistant Planning Manager, you will assist the Planning Manager in providing support to ensure that the clients work is effectively programmed meeting SLAs and customers’ expectations - through communication with internal and external sources, as well as key focus on the management of streetworks performance across the contract.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for someone to:
- Assist in taking ownership of the workstreams, coordinating the work from receipt, through to job completion.
- Overseeing the scheduling of work in accordance with SLA and permits.
- Reporting weekly of streetworks performance to SLT, operations, LDPs and wider team – mitigating and monitoring performance and driving continual improvements within the CMO. Including driving successful recording and root cause identification for all financial penalties (S74 & FPNs).
- You will manage the end-to-end defect and interim process including controlled feedback to the Client, LDP and Local Authorities as required.
- Understanding the SAP system ensuring your team use it correctly.
- Liaise with SDS/SDM/OM and LDPs to ensure programmes are delivered.
- To ensure that all the client and operational requirements are met in a professional and efficient manner.
- You will ensure comments are fed into the Street Manager; coaching and upskilling all teams to improve communications and relationships with the Local Authority.
- Continue to develop and maintain HA relationships, driving regular meetings with all areas (dependant on work volumes within a specific HA)
- To provide daily and weekly reports as required and to ensure that all service levels and objectives are achieved.
- To provide a positive and innovative input into the team, through provision of solutions to problems and embracing change, including depot visits where required.
Experience and Qualifications
- Experience of working within the Utilities sector
- Experience in a planning / coordinator role
- Streetworks and SAP experience would be advantageous.
- Excellent communicator both written and verbal
- Ability to prioritise workload, multi-task and work under tight time pressures
