FLT Reach Driver / Warehouse Operative
Location: Dukinfield Position: Temporary to Permanent Pay Rate: £13.01 per hour Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
The Role
We are looking for an experienced FLT Reach Driver to join a busy warehouse and distribution operation in Dukinfield.
This is a hands-on role, with approximately 80% of your time spent operating the Reach Truck and the remaining 20% carrying out general warehouse, handballing and physical duties.
The main focus of the role will be loading and unloading vehicles, moving pallets around the warehouse and ensuring goods are handled safely and efficiently.
This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity for the right candidate, with the potential to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.
Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Reach Forklift Truck within the warehouse and loading areas
• Load and unload delivery vehicles using the Reach Truck
• Move, stack and position pallets safely and efficiently
• Load pallets onto vehicles correctly and securely
• Ensure goods are handled carefully to prevent damage
• Carry out general warehouse duties as required
• Complete handballing and manual handling duties
• Assist with loading, unloading and organising stock
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company policies
• Support the wider warehouse team when required

The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate must have:

• A valid Reach Forklift Truck licence
• Previous Reach Truck experience is essential
• Must be confident and competent operating the Reach Truck
• Experience loading and unloading vehicles
• Previous warehouse experience
• Experience handling and moving pallets
• Good understanding of safe FLT operation
• Strong Health & Safety awareness
• Good attention to detail
• A reliable and hardworking attitude
• Good physical fitness, as the role includes manual handling and handballing
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to carry out general warehouse duties when required

Important
This is not a purely FLT-based role.
Approximately 80% of the role will involve operating the Reach Truck, with around 20% involving handballing, manual handling and general warehouse/labouring duties.
Candidates must be confident and experienced on a Reach Truck. A Reach Truck licence is required, and applicants without relevant Reach experience will not be considered.
