We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President – Global KYC Policy to join our Risk & Compliance team. This role is in Manchester.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on all KYC topics, including client due diligence, beneficial ownership, account activity reviews, local requirements, and enhanced due diligence.
  • Support the Global Head of KYC Policy in driving the policy agenda, coordinating stakeholders, preparing governance materials, and executing priorities with speed, rigor, and transparency.

  • Drive strategic KYC Policy initiatives that strengthen and enhance the firm’s control environment. You will define clear policy and control requirements, communicate expectations across stakeholders, and oversee implementation progress to ensure timely, effective, and consistent execution.

  • Draft, refine, and publish KYC Policy, standards, and procedures, ensuring clear documentation, impacts across KYC functions are assessed, and control expectations understood across all lines of business and regions.
  • Socialize KYC Policy changes with stakeholders across Compliance, Operations, Technology, and the business to build understanding, alignment, and readiness.
  • Obtain approvals and lead implementation of KYC Policy changes through governance forums and committees, including rollout planning, training support, and guidance.
  • Provide timely, pragmatic advisory to Lines of Business on new products and services—reviewing and challenging proposals, identifying KYC obligations and controls, and aligning to risk appetite and regulatory expectations.
  • Facilitate daily team calls/stand-ups to track progress on key initiatives, clear blockers, maintain action logs, and synthesize updates into weekly briefings for leadership and governance forums.
  • Interpret laws, regulations, and regulatory publications; perform gap analyses and translate requirements into KYC Policy and control design, with clear guidance for process, systems, and documentation.
  • Provide oversight of policy exceptions, extensions and workarounds and other proposals to amend process or policy;
  • Produce high-quality communications (policy notices, FAQs, implementation guides, training materials) and deliver stakeholder briefings to ensure understanding and consistent adoption across global teams.
  • Build strong relationships across Compliance, Operations, Technology, and LOBs, fostering a constructive challenge culture and ensuring aligned decision-making and timely execution.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking a candidate that can:

  • Demonstrate disciplined governance: consistently prepare clear, decision-ready materials, drive agendas to closure, and proactively surface risks, dependencies, and trade-offs to the Global Head of KYC Policy.

  • Deliver high-quality policy content: produce precise, unambiguous KYC Policy, supported by well-structured guidance and publication artifacts

  • Execute change with rigor: document and manage detailed rollout plans

  • Advise with credibility and challenge constructively: give timely, pragmatic guidance on new products, identify KYC control requirements, and challenge proposals to align with regulatory expectations and the firm’s risk appetite.

  • Maintain a strong daily operating cadence: lead efficient stand-ups, clear blockers quickly, keep action logs current, and synthesize progress into concise weekly updates for leadership and KYC governance forums.

  • Prioritize strategically: recommend quarterly policy-change sequencing based on regulatory urgency, operational readiness, capacity, and client experience;

  • Be the SME others rely on: provide authoritative guidance across KYC domains (CDD, beneficial ownership, periodic refresh, EDD)

  • Translate regulation into controls: perform gap analyses on laws and regulatory publications, convert requirements into actionable policy and control designs, and partner with process and technology teams to enable adoption.

  • Strengthen control environment: oversee exceptions, extensions, and workarounds through disciplined review and challenge

.This individual will gain exposure to:

  • Senior leadership and KYC governance exposure—presenting priorities, shaping agendas, and delivering executive-ready briefings.
  • Enterprise collaboration across Compliance, Operations, Technology, and LOBs—driving aligned execution and adoption.
  • Global regulatory interpretation and policy translation—converting requirements into clear KYC standards, controls, and documentation.
  • Full lifecycle policy change management—rollout planning, training, adoption tracking, remediation oversight, and effectiveness measurement.
  • Product and client lifecycle advisory—challenging proposals, defining KYC obligations and controls, and aligning to risk appetite and client experience.
  • High-impact strategic projects across KYC, Compliance, Operations, and Technology, with the opportunity to shape policy changes, influence control design, and help drive enterprise-wide improvements to the control environment.
