Project Accountant / Finance Business Partner
£75,000 - £85,000 + Benefits | 12 Month FTC with a view to becoming permanent | Hybrid (1 day per week in South Manchester)
We're partnering with a high-growth, PE-backed business to recruit a Project Accountant / Finance Business Partnerinto a newly created role. Following a recent acquisition and with further growth plans ahead, this position offers the opportunity to play a key role in a business undergoing significant change.
This is not a traditional reporting role. Instead, you'll sit at the heart of a variety of strategic projects, supporting acquisitions, driving improvements in financial reporting and data quality, and partnering closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
For someone who enjoys variety, change and working in a fast-paced environment, this is a rare opportunity to make a genuine impact.
The Opportunity
As Project Accountant, you'll support a broad range of finance and business-critical initiatives across the Group. You'll be responsible for delivering accurate financial information, supporting acquisition and integration activity, and helping ensure the business has the insight and data needed to support future growth.
With further acquisition activity anticipated, a strong project pipeline, and increasing demands from investors and senior leadership, this role offers significant scope for development and visibility across the business.
Whilst initially offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract, there is a genuine desire for the role to become permanent given the anticipated volume of future projects and long-term growth plans.
Key Responsibilities
You'll be a qualified accountant (ideally ACA) with strong technical foundations and a proactive approach to solving problems.
We're particularly interested in individuals who have built a broad range of experience since qualifying and enjoy operating in environments where priorities can shift quickly.
You'll likely demonstrate:
Most importantly, you'll be someone who can operate at pace. The business is looking for an individual who is comfortable navigating change, managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality work in a fast-moving environment.
