Ways of Working Partner - Contract

Location: Reading or Manchester
Rate: £400-£480 per day
IR35: Inside IR35
Contract: Immediate requirement
Client: Leading UK Telecommunications Organisation - client name confidential

The Opportunity

We are currently looking for an experienced Ways of Working Partner / Process Improvement specialist to join a major transformation programme within a leading UK telecommunications organisation.

This is a hands-on delivery role for someone who can get into the detail, understand how teams and processes operate today, identify inefficiencies and friction points, and then design and implement practical improvements.

You will play a key role in improving how the organisation works with internal teams and external partners, helping to create more efficient, collaborative and outcome-focused ways of working.

This is not a strategy-only role. We need someone who can roll their sleeves up and make change happen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse existing processes, ways of working and operating models to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and implement practical process improvements that deliver measurable business value.
  • Drive the adoption of new ways of working across teams and stakeholders.
  • Identify and remove operational friction, inefficiencies and unnecessary hand-offs.
  • Help define clearer roles, responsibilities and accountabilities between internal teams and external partners.
  • Support the development and implementation of effective operating models.
  • Work closely with technology, delivery, business and partner teams to improve collaboration.
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions to understand problems, develop solutions and drive agreement.
  • Establish feedback mechanisms and measures to assess whether improvements are delivering the desired outcomes.
  • Support a shift from an output-focused to an outcome-focused approach.
  • Identify opportunities to standardise and improve processes across different areas of the organisation.
  • Act as a change agent, challenging existing ways of working and introducing more effective approaches.
What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with a strong background in process improvement, continuous improvement, business transformation or ways of working, ideally gained within a complex organisation.

You should be able to demonstrate:
  • Strong process analysis and process improvement experience.
  • A proven track record of implementing new ways of working.
  • Experience designing or improving operating models and business processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Confidence facilitating workshops and working with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working across complex teams, functions or multi-vendor environments.
  • A practical, structured and analytical approach to solving problems.
  • The ability to move from problem identification ? solution design ? implementation.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience of Six Sigma / Lean / continuous improvement methodologies would be advantageous.
The Ideal Candidate

You'll be someone who:

? Gets into the detail
? Challenges inefficient processes
? Turns problems into practical solutions
? Can influence without relying on hierarchy
? Is comfortable working across business, technology and partners
? Takes ownership and drives things through to implementation
? Is passionate about making organisations work better

If you're a Process Analyst, Continuous Improvement Analyst, Business Transformation Specialist, Ways of Working Lead/Partner or Operating Model professional who enjoys making tangible improvements rather than simply producing recommendations, we'd like to hear from you.
