Learning Support Assistant
Are you a recent Psychology or core subject graduate looking to kickstart your career in education?
Maybe you have some school based experience and now wish to gain a long term role where you can support for a full academic year, starting this September?
What the role involves:
*Support across KS3 - KS4 assisting the class teachers
*Working 1:1 with children with SEND to provide personalised learning support
*Assist with covering lessons where required
*Leading or assisting with small group interventions
*Supporting pupils within mainstream school
*Encouraging positive behaviour and developing social and emotional skills
*Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and other school staff to create an inclusive learning environment
We're looking for candidates who:
*Have a UK degree in Psychology or core subject degree
*Have a genuine passion for working with children and young people
*Passion for supporting children with additional needs
*Ideally have previous experience in a school, nursery, placement, or voluntary role supporting young people
*Hold a DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)
*Can provide references covering the last 2 years
*Are flexible, adaptable and patient
