About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative / Driver to join our growing team. This is a hands-on position responsible for ensuring stock is handled safely and efficiently, customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time, and company standards for safety, quality and service are maintained.

This role combines warehouse operations with driving duties, providing a varied and active working environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting day-to-day warehouse activities and ensuring excellent service delivery to customers.

Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Duties
  • Pick, pack and load stock and customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Support stock control, inventory management and stock-taking activities.
  • Prepare goods for dispatch, ensuring correct labelling and documentation.
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment and machinery, including pallet trucks, forklifts (where licensed) and other handling equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
  • Follow all company procedures relating to stock handling, quality standards and health & safety.
  • Complete all required paperwork and system updates accurately.
  • Gain and maintain knowledge of company systems and software relevant to the role.
Driving Duties
  • Safely transport products using company vehicles in accordance with company policies and UK road legislation.
  • Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
  • Ensure goods are delivered safely and securely to customers.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Adhere to all delivery schedules and customer service requirements.

75% Warehouse / 25% Driving

General Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Work professionally and represent the company positively at all times.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures and quality standards.
  • Follow health and safety regulations and always use the appropriate PPE.
  • Support colleagues and contribute positively to team objectives.
  • Undertake additional duties as reasonably required by management.
  • Be flexible to support operational requirements, including occasional work outside normal hours.
Essential Qualifications
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Good standard of secondary education (GCSE level or equivalent).
  • 3.5T or 7.5T licence (where required for the specific role).
Skills & ExperienceEssential
  • Experience handling heavy or bulky products safely.
  • Experience working within a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow processes.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
Desirable
  • Previous experience driving forklifts.
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Experience within transport, logistics or distribution operations.
