Registered Mental Health Nurse – Manchester, Preston & Southport

The Role

As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, you will provide safe, compassionate and recovery-focused care to patients experiencing a range of mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality mental health nursing care in line with NMC standards.

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual patient care.

  • Support patients with acute and enduring mental health needs.

  • Administer medication safely and maintain accurate clinical records.

  • Undertake risk assessments and contribute to person-centred care planning.

  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes.

  • Build therapeutic relationships with patients, families and carers.

  • Promote dignity, safeguarding and patient-centred care.

  • Manage challenging situations professionally using approved intervention techniques.

  • Maintain high standards of clinical care and patient safety.

Essential Requirements

  • Current NMC Registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).

  • Minimum 6 months' UK Mental Health Nursing experience.

  • PMVA Certification – Mandatory.

  • Valid Enhanced DBS.

  • Professional references covering the last 3 years.

  • Strong clinical judgement and excellent communication skills.

  • Flexible, reliable and compassionate approach to patient care.

  • Right to work in the UK.
