Finance Graduate/Assistant Accountant
Are you a high-achieving graduate looking to build a successful career in finance and work towards becoming a qualified accountant? Our client, a leading international manufacturing group with a strong sustainability focus, is seeking an ambitious Finance Graduate to join their UK finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure across multiple areas of finance while developing the commercial, analytical and technical skills needed for a long-term career within a global business. You'll work closely with experienced finance professionals across a variety of functions and business divisions, gaining hands-on experience while receiving support towards a professional accounting qualification.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Finance Graduate with some experience already, you'll gain broad exposure across the finance function, including:

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Supporting month-end and year-end close activities
• Preparing accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
• Analysing financial performance and investigating variances
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
• Producing financial reports and KPI analysis for management
• Working with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams
• Supporting treasury, tax and corporate finance activities
• Partnering with commercial teams across multiple business divisions
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance reporting
• Assisting with audits and compliance-related activities
• Developing strong stakeholder relationships across the business

What You'll Bring
You'll be a highly motivated graduate with a degree in Accountancy & Finance as preferred or will consider other numerically focused disciplines. Ideally, you'll have gained some practical finance experience through a year-in-industry placement or a similar finance-based role recently.You will possess strong numerical and analytical skills, alongside advanced Excel capabilities and excellent attention to detail. Commercially aware and ambitious, you'll be eager to develop your career within a fast-paced international business whilst studying towards a professional accounting qualification.We're looking for someone who is intelligent, proactive and keen to take on genuine responsibility from the outset. You'll have a passion for improving performance, solving problems and supporting business decisions through financial insight.
