We are currently recruiting for experienced Cloud Security Engineers to join a major cloud transformation and security programme in Manchester.

This is a hands-on technical position working across modern AWS, Azure and/or GCP cloud environments, with a strong focus on cloud security, DevOps, automation, Infrastructure as Code and container security.

The successful Cloud Security Engineer will work closely with engineering teams to design and deliver secure cloud services while improving security controls, governance and automated remediation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and support secure cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure and/or GCP.
• Implement and improve cloud security controls and processes.
• Automate security remediation and cloud infrastructure deployment.
• Build and support secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with Infrastructure as Code technologies including Terraform, CloudFormation and ARM/Bicep.
• Support Docker and Kubernetes environments, including EKS, AKS or GKE.
• Implement IAM, RBAC, security policies and encryption controls.
• Monitor cloud environments using SIEM and cloud security platforms.
• Support incident, problem and change management.
• Help engineering teams adopt secure cloud-native and DevOps practices.

Essential Skills

Candidates should have strong commercial experience in several of the following areas:

• Cloud Security Engineering
• AWS, Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
• Kubernetes and Docker
• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps
• IAM and RBAC
• Cloud security controls and governance
• SIEM / security monitoring
• PowerShell, Bash, Python or Java
• Windows and/or Red Hat Linux

Experience with Wiz Cloud, Wiz Defend or similar Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools would be highly desirable.

Experience working within financial services, banking or another regulated environment would also be beneficial.

AWS, Azure, GCP, CISSP or other relevant cloud/security certifications are advantageous.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Cloud Security Engineer looking for a hands-on contract position within a large-scale cloud transformation programme.
