Deskside Support Engineer - #2126187

Deskside Support Engineer Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 Location: Manchester (Onsite)

We're seeking a Deskside Support Engineer to join an onsite IT team, providing hands-on support to end users and resolving technical issues that cannot be solved remotely.


Key Responsibilities

• Provide onsite support for Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Outlook, and Teams.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, peripheral, and user issues.
• Build, image, configure, and deploy laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
• Support hardware refreshes, device rollouts, and new starter setups.
• Manage Active Directory accounts, password resets, and user administration.
• Troubleshoot printers, AV equipment, meeting room technology, and basic network issues.
• Update and manage tickets through the ITSM system, ensuring excellent communication with users.
• Support endpoint security tools including Microsoft Defender, antivirus, and device encryption.

Essential Skills

• Experience in Deskside, Desktop, or 2nd Line Support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with device builds, imaging, deployment, and hardware support.
• Active Directory administration experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Defender, antivirus, and endpoint security.
• Basic networking and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience using ServiceNow or a similar ITSM platform.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
