The Company

This Head of Projects role is with a growing Principal Contractor based in the Northwest. The undertake a diverse range of projects including M&E upgrades, building fabric refurbishment and commercial fit out with values from £50k - £1million. They have close ties with number of Asset Managers and have a consistent flow of projects along with additional external clients.

The Role

We are looking for someone who is keen to join a company where you will play a major part in their overall success and be prepared to take on a wide ranging role. As a Head of Projects, you will primarily be responsible for project delivery but will also be expected to take on additional responsibilities as required. Ideally, we are looking for someone who has experience in a similar role and experience of clients in the commercial sector. To be successful in this role it is essential that you have client facing experience and a good of level of expertise in the both the commercial and delivery aspects of projects.

The role includes:

  • Leading teams in the safe delivery of projects and identify, reduce and manage all risks (technical, statutory, health and safety, commercial or otherwise)
  • Ensure projects are secured and delivered on time and within the financial requirements and margins as specified.
  • Sub-contractor selection and management
  • Provide assistance in identifying and specifying project opportunities, identify and win projects through effective client relationships.
  • Assist in developing and managing bids, tenders and proposals.
  • Financial responsibility for the delivery of the projects plan and ensure all costs are fully accountable and recoverable.
  • Recruit and retain talent for the present and future growth.
  • Projects are primarily in the North West and Midlands.
