Senior Flood Modeller - Manchester | £45,000-£55,000
A specialist environmental consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Flood Modeller to join their team in Manchester. The role will involve working across a range of flood risk, hydraulic modelling and environmental projects throughout the UK.
The Role:
- Undertake 1D and 2D hydraulic modelling for fluvial and surface water flood risk projects.
- Develop and run models using Flood Modeller and TUFLOW.
- Prepare Flood Risk Assessments, technical reports and modelling outputs.
- Analyse and interpret model results and provide technical recommendations.
- Manage modelling projects from initial data review through to completion.
- Liaise with clients, regulators and other project stakeholders.
- Support and mentor junior members of the team.
- Assist with project scopes, fee proposals and bids where required.
The Candidate:
- Experience working within flood risk and hydraulic modelling.
- Strong experience using Flood Modeller, with TUFLOW experience advantageous.
- Good understanding of fluvial and surface water flood risk.
- Experience producing technical reports and interpreting modelling outputs.
- Relevant degree in Hydrology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related subject.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage your own workload and projects.
