Who we are:
We’re not just talking about making a difference, we’re making it happen. We generate dispatchable, renewable power and create stable energy in an uncertain world. Building on our proud heritage, we have ambition to become the global leader in sustainable biomass and carbon removals.
You’ll be joining our teams of practical doers, future thinkers and business champions. We’re enabling a zero carbon, lower cost energy future for all, and working hard to decarbonise the planet for generations to come.
About the role:
As part of the Renewables Team, you will;
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective Third Party Intermediary (TPI) partners to grow the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) pipeline and improve conversion rates.
- Build a deep understanding of market dynamics by gathering structured market intelligence and TPI feedback, helping to shape product development, strengthen PPA propositions, and enhance wider commercial offerings.
- Act as a visible ambassador for the renewables business by representing Drax at industry events, conferences and forums, building brand awareness, strengthening market presence, and delivering presentations where appropriate.
- Collaborate closely with import sales teams and their TPI networks to increase awareness, understanding and promotion of Drax’s PPA and broader renewable energy propositions.
- Identify and develop commercial opportunities that support gross margin growth across Drax’s full suite of products and services.
- Create, implement and maintain detailed account plans for key TPI partners and customers, ensuring a strategic and proactive approach to relationship management and business growth.
Who we’re looking for:
To be successful in this role you’ll ideally have…
- Good understanding of the UK power market, renewable energy sector and Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) landscape.
- Proven experience in business development, account management or partner management within the energy industry.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships with TPIs, customers and internal stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives.
- Commercially astute, with the ability to identify opportunities, grow sales pipelines, improve conversion rates and contribute to margin growth.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to represent the business externally and clearly articulate renewable energy solutions and propositions.
- Ability to gather, analyse and communicate market intelligence and partner feedback, translating insights into recommendations that support product and proposition development.
- Highly organised, self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver against key strategic business objectives.
Rewards and benefits:
As you help us to shape the future, we’ve shaped our rewards and benefits to help you thrive and support
your lifestyle. If successful in this role you’ll get:
- A discretionary bonus depending on company performance
- Private Healthcare
- SAYE (Sharesave): discretionary scheme from time to time
- Personal accident cover
- Group personal pension plan where we’ll pay up to 10%
- Holiday 25 days plus bank holidays
- Reimbursement of the cost of your annual membership of one relevant and appropriate professional body
