About the Role
We are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Paraplanner to join a growing financial planning business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Diploma-qualified Paraplanner who enjoys working on complex cases, producing high-quality technical reports and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Working closely with advisers, paraplanners, administrators and compliance, you will play a key role in ensuring advice is technically accurate, compliant and focused on delivering excellent client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake detailed research and analysis to formulate appropriate financial planning advice.
- Prepare accurate, compliant and client-focused suitability reports and letters.
- Provide technical support across investments, pensions, inheritance tax, tax-efficient investments, trusts and protection.
- Prepare cash flow planning forecasts and supporting analysis.
- Provide technical research and guidance to advisers and management.
- Work collaboratively with advisers and administrators to ensure smooth delivery of client cases.
- Support the Head of Department, Directors and management as required.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of paraplanning processes and procedures.
- Embed feedback, change and best practice across the team.
- Work closely with the Compliance team to ensure client files and advice meet FCA standards.
- Keep up to date with legislative, regulatory and industry developments affecting clients and the business.
- Manage multiple cases and priorities effectively while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
About You
You will be an experienced Paraplanner with strong technical knowledge and a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality financial advice.
Essential experience and skills:
- Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, or equivalent.
- Proven experience working as a Paraplanner.
- Experience within a financial advice or wealth management environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, tax planning and protection.
- Excellent suitability report writing skills.
- Strong understanding of FCA regulations and advice standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail and technical accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across advice, administration and compliance teams.
