Management Accountant (Part Time) - #2120952

We’re working with a growing IT services provider in Manchester who are looking to appoint an experienced Part-Time Management Accountant to join their finance team.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, this is a broad, hands-on role with a strong focus on the monthly finance cycle, management accounts, balance sheet work and financial analysis to support business decision-making.

Ideally they're looking for somebody 3 days per week, but may be flexible on this (2.5-4 days), as well as the hours you work on these days.
The role will include:

• Preparing monthly P&L accounts
• Posting and reviewing journals, accruals and prepayments
• Preparing monthly management accounts
• Commentary and variance analysis for board reporting
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Intercompany reconciliations
• Analysing performance against budget, forecast and prior year
• Detailed cost variance analysis
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting
• Ad hoc financial analysis
• Helping improve finance processes and controls

The business uses Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, so any previous experience would be useful, but it’s absolutely not essential.

We’re looking for someone who can come in and operate with a good level of autonomy from day one.

You’ll ideally be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, although strong Qualified by Experience candidates will also be considered. You’ll need solid management accounts experience, strong balance sheet knowledge and good Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP and SUMIFS.

It would suit an experienced Management Accountant who wants a genuinely part-time role without sacrificing the quality or level of the work.
