Conveyancing Fee Earner – 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract | Mostly Remote | Manchester | £45,000
A well-established and highly regarded law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Conveyancing Fee Earner on a 6-month fixed-term contract to join its friendly and supportive property team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Conveyancer, Licensed Conveyancer, Conveyancing Fee Earner or experienced Conveyancing Assistant seeking a manageable caseload, genuine work-life balance and the flexibility of mostly remote working, while still having the opportunity to work from the firm's Manchester office when required.
The role is being recruited as a replacement and offers a particularly manageable and structured caseload. With no billing targets and no unnecessary pressure, this is an ideal position for someone looking for a more sustainable approach to residential conveyancing.
The Role – Conveyancing Fee Earner
The successful Conveyancing Fee Earner will focus on transactions involving properties acquired through repossession and subsequently being sold on.
The work will include:
Handling residential property transactions involving repossessed properties.
Dealing with freehold, leasehold and shared ownership transactions.
Managing an effective caseload equivalent to approximately 40–50 files.
Handling a defined part of the conveyancing process rather than being responsible for every stage of the transaction.
Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure transactions progress efficiently.
Providing a high standard of client care and conveyancing support.
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring matters progress in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Mostly Remote Working – Manchester Office
One of the key attractions of this opportunity is the flexibility of the working arrangement.
The successful candidate will work predominantly from home, with office attendance required in Manchester when necessary.
The firm operates a genuinely flexible hybrid approach, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced conveyancer who values the ability to work remotely while remaining connected to an established and supportive team.
Candidate Requirements:
The firm is open to candidates with experience across residential conveyancing, including:
Conveyancing Fee Earner
Residential Conveyancer
Licensed Conveyancer
Conveyancing Assistant
Conveyancing Paralegal
You should have a good understanding of residential property transactions and be comfortable dealing with freehold, leasehold and/or shared ownership matters.
Experience of repossession or post-repossession property sales would be advantageous, although relevant residential conveyancing experience will be considered.
Most importantly, the firm is looking for someone who is organised, reliable and committed to delivering high-quality legal work and client service.
Benefits:
6-month fixed-term contract
Salary of £45,000
Mostly remote working
Office presence required in Manchester when necessary
Manageable caseload of approximately 40–50 files
No billing targets
No unnecessary fee-earning pressure
Structured and clearly defined role
Friendly and supportive working environment
Strong work-life balance
High-quality residential conveyancing work
Conveyancing Fee Earner – 6 Month FTC
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Conveyancer, Licensed Conveyancer, Residential Conveyancer or Conveyancing Fee Earner who wants to step away from high-volume, target-driven conveyancing and into a more manageable role.
With mostly remote working, a manageable caseload, no billing targets and a salary of £40,000, this 6-month fixed-term contract offers an attractive combination of flexibility, stability and work-life balance.
If you're an experienced conveyancer looking for a 6-month FTC with predominantly remote working and occasional Manchester office attendance, this opportunity is well worth exploring.
