Consula Group LTD

Consula is working with an organisation to recruit a confident, organised and creative Communications Officer. This is a client-employed role, with the successful candidate joining the hiring organisation directly.

This opportunity is suited to someone who enjoys turning ideas, information and organisational priorities into clear communications that people want to read, understand and act on. You will help shape how the organisation communicates with colleagues, partners, customers and wider audiences, ensuring that messages are accurate, engaging and consistent.

The role offers a varied workload across internal communications, digital content, campaigns, stakeholder updates and day-to-day communications support. You will have the opportunity to contribute ideas, take ownership of content and make a visible difference to how the organisation presents itself.

About the role

As Communications Officer, you will support the development and delivery of communications activity across a range of channels. You will work closely with colleagues to understand key priorities, identify strong stories and create content that is clear, relevant and aligned with the organisation’s brand and values.

You will be comfortable writing for different audiences and formats, from web pages and newsletters to social-media content, briefing notes, internal updates and campaign materials. You will also help maintain communication plans, coordinate approvals and ensure published content remains accurate and up to date.

This role would suit someone with a strong writing background, sound digital awareness and the confidence to manage a varied workload in a busy, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

•Draft, edit and publish clear, engaging communications for internal and external audiences.

•Support the delivery of communication plans, campaigns and stakeholder-engagement activity.

•Create content for digital channels, including websites, newsletters, email communications and relevant social-media platforms.

•Work with colleagues to identify stories, updates and opportunities that should be communicated to key audiences.

•Maintain content calendars, communications schedules and approval processes.

•Ensure communications are accurate, accessible, timely and consistent with the organisation’s brand and tone of voice.

•Support the development of presentations, briefing notes, case studies, reports and campaign materials.

•Coordinate with internal teams, external partners and suppliers to support effective delivery of communications activity.

•Monitor engagement and performance across relevant channels, using insight to improve future content.

•Keep web and digital information up to date and identify opportunities to improve clarity, accessibility and user experience.

•Support communications during key organisational activity, events, announcements or change programmes as required.

About you

You will have experience in communications, marketing, public relations, content creation, digital engagement or a related role. You will be an excellent writer with strong attention to detail and the ability to make complex information clear, concise and engaging.

You will be organised, adaptable and comfortable managing multiple deadlines. You will have confidence using standard office systems and digital communications tools, and you will understand how different channels can be used to reach different audiences.

Experience of managing website content, email campaigns, newsletters, social-media channels, stakeholder communications or internal engagement would be beneficial. Experience in a public-facing, community, housing, education, health, public-sector or professional-services setting would also be useful, but is not essential.

A relevant qualification in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, media, English or a related discipline is desirable. Equivalent experience will be considered.

The successful candidate will join a supportive team and have the opportunity to contribute to communications work with clear purpose and visible impact. The client offers a professional environment in which people are encouraged to bring ideas, develop their skills and take pride in high-quality work.
