Finance Systems Specialist - TechnologyOne - #2119659

Robertson Bell are supporting a complex organisation undertaking a significant TechnologyOne implementation, who are seeking an experienced Finance Systems Specialist to provide technical finance systems expertise through the project.

This is a flexible six-month contract, with the option to work either full-time or part-time. The role can be completed fully remotely, although there is a preference for someone who can occasionally travel to the client’s offices, in the North West, when required.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing expert TechnologyOne knowledge and guidance to the wider project team.
• Supporting and leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, execution and resolution of issues.
• Supporting data mapping and migration, ensuring finance data is accurately transferred into the new system.
• Developing and enhancing financial reports, dashboards and KPI reporting within TechnologyOne.
• Reviewing and providing input into the organisation’s Chart of Accounts, ensuring it is appropriate for the new system and future reporting requirements.
• Working closely with finance and project stakeholders to understand requirements and translate these into effective systems solutions.
• Identifying potential issues and providing practical recommendations throughout the implementation.
• Supporting the wider finance team with the transition to the new system.

Essential experience:

• Strong background working with finance systems, ideally within an implementation, upgrade or transformation project.
• Specific experience using TechnologyOne is essential.
• Strong technical finance systems skills, particularly across UAT, data migration/mapping, reporting and Chart of Accounts design/review.
• Experience developing financial reports, dashboards and/or KPI reporting.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and finance stakeholders.
• Able to work independently and provide credible specialist advice to a wider project team.
• Available at short notice.

This would suit an experienced Finance Systems Specialist, Finance Systems Analyst, TechnologyOne Consultant or Finance Transformation professional who can quickly add value to an ongoing implementation.

The client can offer considerable flexibility around working arrangements, with both full-time and part-time availability considered.
