Consula Group LTD

Consula is recruiting a compassionate and motivated Family Intervention Worker on behalf of a respected organisation committed to helping children, young people and families achieve meaningful, lasting change.

This is an opportunity for someone who understands that positive outcomes are built through trusted relationships, practical support and a strengths-based approach. You will work alongside families experiencing complex challenges, helping them identify goals, build resilience and access the right support at the right time.

The role

You will provide high-quality, family-centred intervention and support. Your work will involve building purposeful relationships with children, young people, parents and carers; completing thoughtful assessments; agreeing clear plans; and working collaboratively with partner agencies to improve outcomes.

You will be confident supporting families in their homes, communities and other appropriate settings. You will balance empathy with professional curiosity, ensuring that children’s welfare and lived experience remain central to your practice.

Key responsibilities

•Deliver targeted, strengths-based interventions for children, young people and families.

•Build positive working relationships with parents, carers and partner professionals.

•Complete assessments, plans, reviews and accurate case records to a high standard.

•Identify risk, respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns and follow organisational procedures.

•Support families to access education, health, housing, community and wider practical support.

•Contribute positively to multi-agency meetings and work towards agreed outcomes.

•Maintain clear professional boundaries, confidentiality and a consistently respectful approach.

About you

You will bring experience of working directly with children, young people and families facing a range of challenges. You will be able to communicate with warmth, clarity and confidence, including when situations are complex or emotionally demanding.

You will have a sound understanding of safeguarding, child-centred practice and multi-agency working. You will be organised, able to manage a varied caseload and committed to recording work accurately and promptly.

A relevant qualification in a field such as children and young people’s services, youth work, family support, social work, education, psychology or a related discipline would be beneficial. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.

What is offered

The successful candidate will join a supportive environment where reflective practice, professional development and genuinely improving outcomes for families are valued. This role offers the chance to make a visible difference through purposeful, relationship-led work.

The post will be subject to satisfactory references and the appropriate safer-recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS check where required.
