Location: Manchester City Centre
Contract: Temporary, minimum 3 months, with potential to extend
Salary: £35,000 per annum equivalent, paid hourly

We are currently recruiting for a Sales Ledger Clerk - Billing & Credit Control to join a busy finance team based in Manchester City Centre, just a 5-minute walk from Piccadilly train station.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking for a temporary assignment that offers hybrid working, flexible hours and the potential for a longer-term opportunity.

The main focus of the position will be raising and processing invoices, with additional responsibility for credit control and supporting the wider sales ledger function.

You will play an important role in ensuring invoices are raised accurately and on time, while also helping to maintain strong cash flow through effective credit control.

• Raising and processing sales invoices accurately and efficiently
• Ensuring invoices are issued within agreed timescales
• Managing the sales ledger and maintaining accurate customer records
• Carrying out credit control activities and following up outstanding invoices
• Contacting customers regarding overdue payments
• Allocating payments and resolving account queries where required
• Investigating and resolving billing discrepancies
• Supporting the wider finance team with sales ledger duties
• Ensuring financial records are maintained accurately and up to date

We are looking for someone with previous experience in a sales ledger, billing, invoicing or credit control environment.

You will ideally be:

• Experienced in raising a high volume of invoices
• Comfortable undertaking credit control and chasing outstanding payments
• Highly accurate and detail-focused
• Organised, proactive and able to manage your own workload
• Confident communicating with customers and internal stakeholders
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider finance team
• Immediately available or available at short notice

• £35,000 per annum equivalent, paid on an hourly basis
• Minimum 3-month temporary contract, with potential to extend
• Hybrid working - 2 days from home per week
• Flexible start and finish times
