Robert Half is partnering with a large, multinational organisation based in Manchester in sought of an Interim Financial Accountant.

This is a key role within a centralised Global Financial Services function, supporting revenue accounting, month end close, controls and process improvement across a complex international business.

You'll play a critical role in supporting centralised revenue recognition activities, working closely with local finance teams and stakeholders across the wider organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting month-end close, including journals, revenue schedules and reconciliations.
• Working across revenue accounting processes.
• Supporting the transition of finance processes into a centralised function through documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Reviewing and improving existing processes, identifying opportunities for automation, simplification and efficiency.
• Working with finance teams and wider stakeholders to resolve accounting queries and issues.
• Ensuring compliance with finance policies, statutory requirements, SLAs and SOX controls.
• Producing and distributing accurate financial reports within agreed deadlines.
• What We're Looking For

We're particularly interested in candidates who have:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified.
• Ideally trained or worked within top 10 accountancy firms or alternatively a strong Top 20 practice.
• Experience within a large multinational / complex corporate environment
• Strong Revenue Accounting or RTR experience with sufficient depth to confidently explain accounting treatments, triggers and controls.
• Experience of shared services, global business services or centralised finance functions is highly desirable.
• Experience of working with SOX controls and compliance.
• A track record of identifying and implementing process improvements.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to operate effectively in a fast paced, changing environment.

This role would suit a qualified accountant who has worked within a sizeable international organisation and can demonstrate hands on experience across revenue accounting, month-end close and financial controls.

Manchester - Hybrid
Interim Contract. 3 - 6 months.
